Trip to Town: Bullock's Harbour

We took Pandion into the anchorage at Bullock's Harbour for some additional provisioning, and discovered the M/V Capt. Gurth Dean once again dropping off their cargo at an island settlement.

Good timing for us! Fresh vegetables and fruit (and ice cream) to be found at the local grocery shop, just delivered by Capt. Gurth Dean.

We took some time to walk through the settlement, watching students in their school uniforms taking a lunch break. We had earlier heard the school recess from Pandion, with kids laughing and shouting, and remarking to ourselves that the sound of kids playing outside is the same, no matter where in the world you are.

Bullock's Harbour is a small quiet town with two churches, a school, clinic, and hens and roosters wandering through the street. After finding everything on our grocery list (and more), we had lunch at Coolie Mae's overlooking the bay.

We finished the day by taking Newt to see a wreck that had sunk in the shallows near the Harbour.

Then back to Pandion, and off to a quiet anchorage away from the big city. Great day!
